I Can't Make this Stuff Up...

First Let me say, these pictures are from my oldest daughter's car accident this morning.

Thankfully, she is physically fine even though her car isn't quite as lucky. She swerved to miss a cat darting across the road and took out a mailbox and rubbed a tree on her way to her training classes. The moment she called after just leaving the house I knew something had happened and her daddy quickly darted out of the house, still in his lounge clothes to go be by her side, eyeball her to be sure she was ok, and handle all the "must happen next things."

After a while he gave me a call to update me. He explained that the car was pretty jacked up and they were awaiting the tow truck before he was going to be taking her into the city for her classes. I asked if he had spoken with the homeowner and how that had all went. He said that the homeowner, an older gentleman, was with her when he got there, and he seemed very nice.  I was relieved. This all happened in our neighborhood, but it happened farther than we have introduced ourselves or socialized.

Now...are you sitting down?  You are going to want to be sitting down for the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvey would say. For my younger readers, google him. Maybe just maybe there is some audio footage still out there.

Yall, I just can't make this up! So...

Paul went on to tell me that the neighbor guy gave him his business card as he was leaving to head to church. He told him to call if he needed to coordinate or anything. Paul looked down. The guy is a local Health Insurance Agent!!!! If you remember from my last post, we are trying to figure out coverage for next year and possible options as it looks like any surgical intervention needs to be done out of state because of my high-risk status. The simple fact that out of ALL the places my daughter could have wrecked...it was at the house of a local health insurance agent would be quite the story in and of itself.

But that is not all of this strange story...

Noticing that the man was a health insurance agent, my h

Husband, replied to him, "We will definitely be in contact sir, and not just about this. My wife was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and we are trying to find the best plan for 2023 that will support her medical needs."

(y'all sitting down???)

The man replied back, "Yes, please do reach out, Id be happy to help you guys look for options, and I am actually an esophageal cancer survivor. (SAY WHAT???) and have actually walked the journey of diagnosis, chemo/radiation, and am on the other side of successful surgery."

Yea, I know right!

So, I will say it again for the people up in the cheap seats...The simple fact that out of ALL the places my daughter could have wrecked...it was at the house of a local health insurance agent WHO is an esophageal cancer survivor!!!! Absolutely mind blowing to me!

Needless to say, I will be contacting him. I think he plays a part in this story, and I am looking forward to God unfolding what exactly that will be.  Please be assured...those that sent me contacts of other options and agents, I very much intend to follow up in those areas too. I appreciate the collective pull of information, assistance, prayers, and help. The visual I get is the complexity of the gears of the clock...we all have a part to play in the lives of each other. Thank you for being a part of the inner workings of my story. I love you all.

PS...This is NOT to say that I think God is in the business of orchestrating the wrecking cars or near killing pretty little kitties...but all of the things...the good and bad in this life can be used as catalysts for good in His Kingdom.

So, blessings for this Sunday...airbags, mercies of safety, and cancer survivors that are placed in the right places at the most perfect ordained timing that choose to step into the vulnerability of sharing their cancer story and extending their heart and hand to those who face it behind them. May our God who sees see your gift and your reward be great in Heaven.
